H.D. Prewitt, Owner/Principal Auctioneer. Growing up, he attended farm machinery auctions with his father, Harold Prewitt, who operated Prewitt Farm Equipment (John Deere) in Richmond, Kentucky. That planted the seed.

Twenty-five years in the auction industry. A Central Kentucky native, with nearly two decades in the sale of millions of dollars in real estate — including prestigious farms in the area.

He attended Reppert Auction School in May of 2000. After auction school, he gained valuable experience with Ford Brothers Inc. Auctioneers for 10 years (farm auctions, KASP Auto Auction, personal property and multi-par auctions).

For the last 12 years, he has worked with the legendary auctioneer, Mike Gooch (Gooch Auction Group). During this time, H.D. successfully gained more knowledge and experience in the auction industry. H.D. has worked statewide for well-known auction companies including Willie Baker (Baker Auctions & Real Estate) and Allen Clark (AC Auction Group & Access Realty).

After Mike Gooch’s passing, H.D. decided with his sons who are wanting to become auctioneers and his wife who is currently a real estate agent with RE/MAX Elite, Richmond, Kentucky, to open up his own auction company. H.D. gives all his success and knowledge to Mike Gooch and Ford Brothers Inc. H.D. is an active member of the Kentucky Auctioneers Association (KAA).

As a dedicated professional auctioneer, H.D.’s ultimate goal is to satisfy you — the seller — using a process that maximizes value from both the seller’s and buyer’s perspectives.

H.D. has been married for 24 years to Angela Harkleroad Prewitt. They have 4 children. Brayden 23, Cam 21, Cade 21, and Brentlie 14. They live in Richmond, Kentucky.
